ACC adds clinical opportunities for RN-to-BSN students through new partnership

Austin Community College District (ACC) partners with the Black Men’s Health Clinic (BMHC) to provide essential clinical training for students to complete their Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree.

About the Partnership with BMHC

The partnership will allow ACC’s RN-to-BSN students to engage in hands-on clinical experiences to complete their degree. Additionally, through BMHC’s care coordination and navigation model, students will integrate college classroom education with hands-on cultural engagement to meet the ongoing and growing demand for more personable healthcare services.

BMHC recently expanded in Pflugerville through a partnership with Abundant Life Church and other locations. ACC students living within or attending classes near BMHC locations can fulfill their clinical requirements by engaging directly with the communities closest to home.

About ACC’s RN-to-BSN Program

ACC’s RN-to-BSN program offers an affordable, high-quality path to advanced nursing careers. This program emphasizes health policy, community and public health, research, evidence-based nursing, and leadership and management skills.

For flexibility, the program provides both full-time and part-time options. The full-time track allows completion in three semesters, while the part-time route extends the program to a comfortable five semesters. Both tracks are offered on-campus, hybrid, and online options to meet all student demands and requests.
