Pinnacle Campus will operate on normal schedule Monday, April 18, following a brush fire in the Oak Hill area.
Pinnacle served as a command post for the Austin Fire Department Sunday. The fire did not threaten the campus.
Reports indicate the fire was 90 percent contained Sunday evening. ACC will continue to monitor the situation. If updates are necessary, they will be posted at austincc.edu and on Facebook and Twitter.Â

This is according to the Texas Forest Service at 7:40pm:
“Travis County, Pinnacle Fire – 60 acres, 6 homes involved, 100 homes threatened, 10 business threatened, Austin Community College Pinnacle Campus threatened. There are evacuations in progress. This fire is displaying extreme behavior and is moving fast. There are crown runs in the cedar and live oak canopy with some short range spotting.”
So according to this the fire HAS threatened Pinnacle Campus. I think ACC should use more caution with regard to this fire.
