ACC’s free College Prep Program accepting spring applications

ACC’s College Prep Program, a free college preparation course for adults, is now accepting applications for the spring semester. Applications are due Tuesday, January 31, for classes beginning in mid-February.

The free program, offered by ACC’s Adult Education Division, helps high school graduates and GED earners pass the TSI Test, the state assessment required for entering college. Students also receive career counseling and one-on-one guidance completing college admissions and financial aid applications.

Participants practice reading, writing, and math while learning proven study strategies for college entrance exams and tests. Math- and English-focused tracks also are available. The College Prep Program pays for TSI Test fees and preparation materials.

To be eligible, you must be a legal U.S. resident, at least 17 years old, and have a GED or high school diploma. Current and former developmental education students are encouraged to apply.

Applicants participate in a brief interview before enrolling and must maintain an 85 percent attendance rate for the course.
