More than 200 Austin Community College students, employees, and friends joined RB the Riverbat at the second annual ACC Fairway 5K Cross Country Run & Walk March 6 at Riverside golf course.
The event raised funds for student scholarships. The ACC Foundation will match a portion of the proceeds.

The Fairway 5K is part of the RunAustin Project 5K Spring Series and was sponsored by RunAustin, Luke’s Locker, Conley Sports, Riverside Golf Course, Tsunami Cycles, the ACC Foundation, ACC Student Life, and ACC Access Wellness. Staff from ACC’s Student Success Office and Hays Campus Student Services — including the entire Financial Aid team — coordinated the event.

I wish the date for this event was publicized even further in advance because I so wanted to do it, but I had work and could not request off ahead of time in advance. 🙁 I am glad that there was such a great turnout though! 🙂
