Join Austin Community College’s final star party of the semester Friday, April 4 – your chance to stargaze from the Round Rock Campus observation deck.<\/p>\n

The event will kick off at 5:30 p.m. with shows in the Austin Planetarium<\/a>‘s Discovery Dome, a digital mobile planetarium, as well as family-friendly exhibits and interactive science activities from ACCHaoS<\/a> (located in the Building 2000 lobby).<\/p>\n

The Building 3000 observation deck will be open 8-9:30 p.m. Attendees are invited to observe the night sky through the Physical Sciences Department’s telescopes.<\/p>\n

“This is a great event for the entire community,” says Dr. Jim Heath, chair of ACC’s Physical Sciences Department. “Our hands-on activities make the star party fun for everyone.”<\/p>\n

Dr. Heath will give a talk 7-8 p.m. in Building 3000, Room 339 titled “On the Shoulders of Giants, Part III: Galileo and Kepler in 1609.”<\/p>\n
