Following is a summary of some of the items discussed. To view a video of the proceedings, go to the <a href=\"http:\/\/irt.austincc.edu\/board\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Board Meetings Audio &amp; Video Recordings<\/a> webpage.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>2015-2016 tuition rates set<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Trustees voted to keep tuition rates for both in-district and out-of-district students unchanged for the 2015-2016 academic year. General, sustainability, and student success fees also will remain at their current rates.<\/p>\n<p>The board approved slight increases in out-of-state tuition and out-of-district course fees, up $17 per credit hour and $20 per credit hour, respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Out-of-district students enrolled in ACC dual-credit courses will pay $150 per course, consistent with the amount charged for out-of-district early college high school students. Previously, out-of-district dual credit students paid $75 per course.<\/p>\n<p>Trustees also approved waiving out-of-district course fees for students in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/newsroom\/acc-ut-austin-launch-co-enrollment-program\/\">PACE\u00a0<\/a> (University of Texas) or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/newsroom\/acc-texas-state-university-announce-co-enrollment-program\/\">Pathway<\/a> (Texas State University) co-enrollment programs.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Highland Campus Phase II architect\/engineer team presentations <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Three architectural\/engineering teams presented brief overviews of their qualifications to design Highland Campus phase II renovations.<\/p>\n<p>An ACC evaluation committee selected the firms \u2014 Barnes Gromatski Kosarek, O\u2019Connell Robertson, and Page (formerly known as Page Southerland Page) &#8212; from 10 submitted proposals. Members of the evaluation committee were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pamela Collier, Highland Campus phase II project manager<\/li>\n<li>Andy Kim, director of environmental stewardship<\/li>\n<li>Dorado Kinney, Highland Campus dean of student services<\/li>\n<li>Linda Morrison, Highland Campus manager<\/li>\n<li>William Mullane, executive director, facilities and construction<\/li>\n<li>Rico Rey, heating ventilation &amp; air-conditioning supervisor, building &amp; grounds<\/li>\n<li>Robert Rogers, coordinator, environmental health &amp; safety<\/li>\n<li>Linda Smarzik, dean of computer studies and advanced technology<\/li>\n<li>Rodney Wheeler, construction buyer (non-voting facilitator)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The board expects to choose a firm this summer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Austin Community College District Board of Trustees held its regular session on Monday, March 4, at Highland Business Center.
