Austin Community College student Denny Kim won the 2015 Eco Bag Art contest, sponsored by the Office of Sustainability and the Art Department.<\/p>\n
Faculty, staff, and students selected Kim\u2019s design during Earth Week in April. It has been printed on reusable bags that will be on sale for the next year. He also received an e-reader.<\/p>\n
Contest runner-up Mary Urban received a Timbuk2 messenger bag.<\/p>\n
Kim is a University of Texas at Austin graduate who is pursuing a web and interactive design certificate at ACC. He says he opted for a single-color design for cost considerations, but then decided to see how creative he could be.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the end, trying to save costs by choosing one color wasn\u2019t about restricting what I could do, but seeing how certain restrictions could help me generate ideas.\u201d<\/p>\n
