{"id":35472,"date":"2015-07-21T20:11:14","date_gmt":"2015-07-21T20:11:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=35472"},"modified":"2015-08-24T18:07:14","modified_gmt":"2015-08-24T18:07:14","slug":"acc-launching-an-accelerated-intensive-english-program","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/newsroom\/2015\/07\/21\/acc-launching-an-accelerated-intensive-english-program\/","title":{"rendered":"ACC launching an accelerated Intensive English Program"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><em>Courses prepare international students for successful transition into college<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Austin Community College District (ACC) is launching an Intensive English Program (IEP) in fall to prepare international students for college-level courses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a very exciting moment for ACC.\u00a0 International students can now start with us to develop a strong foundation for a successful transition into college,\u201d says Kim Oliver, ACC IEP director.<\/p>\n<p>Taught by a team of highly experienced instructors, ACC\u2019s IEP offers rigorous, accelerated academic and English language preparation through intensive ESL coursework, test preparation, study skills training, cultural orientation, and individualized instruction and assessment.
