Dear ACC Taxpayers,<\/p>\n

The average ACC District homeowner\u2019s tax bill is\u00a0expected to increase in the coming year by $39,\u00a0largely due to debt service resulting from the 2014\u00a0bond referendum approved by voters.<\/p>\n

The Board of Trustees\u2019 proposed property tax rate for 2015 is $0.1005\u00a0(about 10 cents) per $100, which is 6.6 percent higher than the 2014\u00a0tax rate.<\/p>\n

The ACC District remains grateful to the community for its continued\u00a0support, which allows more than 40,000 credit students each semester\u00a0to improve their lives through affordable higher education and training.<\/p>\n

Notice of\u00a0Tax Revenue Increase<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Austin Community College District\u00a0conducted public hearings on September\u00a021, 2015, and September 28, 2015, on\u00a0a proposal to increase the total tax\u00a0revenues of the Austin Community\u00a0College District from properties on the\u00a0tax roll in the preceding year by 19.2<\/p>\n

The total tax revenue raised last year at\u00a0last year\u2019s tax rate of $0.0942 for each\u00a0$100 of taxable value was $130,545,783.<\/p>\n

The total tax revenue proposed to be\u00a0raised this year at the proposed tax rate\u00a0of $0.1005 for each $100 of taxable value,\u00a0excluding tax revenue to be raised from\u00a0new property added to the tax roll this\u00a0year, is $154,890,474.<\/p>\n

The total tax revenue proposed to be\u00a0raised this year at the proposed tax rate\u00a0of $0.1005 for each $100 of taxable value,\u00a0including tax revenue to be raised from\u00a0new property added to the tax roll this\u00a0year, is $159,384,985.<\/p>\n

The Austin Community College District\u00a0is scheduled to vote on the tax rate that\u00a0will result in that tax increase at a public\u00a0meeting to be held on October 5, 2015,\u00a0at 5 p.m. at 5930 Middle Fiskville Road, Austin, TX.<\/p>\n
