The department will relocate to the new offices once a new fire alarm system is complete and approved by the City of Austin.<\/li>\n<li>ACC\u2019s Environmental Health &amp; Safety and Purchasing offices are evaluating abatement contractors. Crews are designing a demising wall to separate the abatement area from occupied space.<\/li>\n<li>Construction begins early next year on the biotechnology commercialization wet lab, which is expected to be complete in late 2016. A groundbreaking is planned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Leander Campus<\/h2>\n<p>The Leander Campus Steering Committee met with Pfluger Associates, SmithGroupJJR, and MWM DesignGroup to discuss master planning for the campus.<\/p>\n<p>Construction manager candidates presented to ACC\u2019s Board of Trustees on October 5. Administrators and staff have started determining where programs and classes will be relocated. ACC is exploring partnerships with organizations that could provide temporary drama and dance studio space and is examining the cost of relocating art facilities and the theater scene shop to temporary space in the mall building.<\/p>\n<p>ACC\u2019s board heard presentations by architect candidates on October 5; trustees are expected to select the architect in November. <a href=\"http:\/\/irt.austincc.edu\/board\/FY%2015_16\/oct052015\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">View a recording of the board meeting<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>Round Rock Campus<\/h2>\n<p>Programming discussions are ongoing. Facilities and Construction plans to issue a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a construction manager in mid-October.<\/p>\n<h2>Hays Campus<\/h2>\n<p>Facilities and Construction is interviewing architect candidates in October; finalists are expected to present to trustees in November.
