Austin Community College (ACC) is collecting donations for its annual “I Can Read!\u201d children\u2019s book drive benefiting the Travis County Sheriff\u2019s Office\u2019s Brown Santa program.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe can help unlock curiosity and creativity for children across Central Texas,\u201d says Ali Judice, ACC Student Government Association president. \u201cReading is one of the most enriching activities we can provide. Every donation makes an impact.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sponsored by the ACC Student Government Association, Phi Theta Kappa, Kappa Delta Pi, ACC Classified Employees Association, Full-time Senate, El Centro, and the Brown Santa program,\u00a0the drive benefits children of low-income families. New and gently used books are accepted.<\/p>\n
Donations may be dropped off through November 23 at collection boxes located at ACC police offices on all campuses.
