Austin Community College campuses are about to get an infusion of Riverbat purple pride.<\/p>\n

The college is planning mini-makeovers to incorporate ACC\u2019s Riverbat symbol and official purple shade.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you go to UT or Texas State, you have no doubt where you are,\u201d says Brette Lea, executive director of public information and college marketing. \u201cStudents feel the pride of being a Bobcat or a Longhorn. We want to create that same sense of recognition and pride for ACC.\u201d<\/p>\n

The lobby of Riverside Campus Building G now features a striking Riverbat wall.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

While campuses will maintain their unique identities, they will have unifying elements to make them instantly recognizable as ACC.<\/p>\n

Riverside Campus received the first Riverbat restyle in time for the RB the Riverbat’s fifth birthday party<\/a>, held there on November 18. The project was possible through the combined efforts of the campus manager, Student Services, Building and Grounds, and Community Programs.<\/p>\n

In the coming months, Public Information and College Marketing will work with campus managers and Student Services deans to expand the Riverbat branding to other campuses.<\/p>\n

Riverside Student Services Dean Rachel Ruiz says purple accent walls help signal areas where students can get assistance.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The Riverside Campus balcony eventually will have an awning to provide heat control and an extra touch of purple. Campus Manager Frank Taylor has been part of the effort.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
