{"id":38163,"date":"2016-02-09T21:28:20","date_gmt":"2016-02-09T21:28:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=38163"},"modified":"2016-03-01T17:50:50","modified_gmt":"2016-03-01T17:50:50","slug":"acc-accepting-applications-for-stem-scholarships","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/newsroom\/2016\/02\/09\/acc-accepting-applications-for-stem-scholarships\/","title":{"rendered":"ACC accepting applications for STEM scholarships"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Scholarships are still available to Austin Community College students pursuing degrees or certificates in any of dozens of STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) fields.<\/p>\n<p>Eligible students must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours.<\/li>\n<li>Have at least a 2.0 GPA.<\/li>\n<li>Have a 50 percent completion rate at ACC.<\/li>\n<li>Have graduated with at least a 3.0 GPA in high school math and science courses or have equivalent math and science GED scores.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Qualified students can earn up to $2,500 per year funded by a grant from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.
