Austin Community College (ACC) Culinary Arts students invite you to sample cuisine from across the nation at the college\u2019s student-run restaurant, Riverbats Caf\u00e9, open Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Eastview Campus, Building 3000 (3401 Webberville Rd., Room 3158).<\/p>\n
\u201cThis restaurant gives students a varied experience in the kitchen. They learn about the culture of different regions and create menus from scratch,\u201d says Adriana Thompson, program assistant. \u201cStudents focus on learning the art of service and styles of serving. The hands-on learning environment gives them the skills they need to be successful.\u201d<\/p>\n
The caf\u00e9 features weekly American regional specials, including areas such as Hawaii\/Pacific Rim, Interior Mexico, and Creole\/Louisiana. Take-out service is offered.<\/p>\n
Riverbats Caf\u00e9 is open to the public through spring semester. In lieu of a gratuity, guests are invited to complete a comment card, which further supports the learning process.<\/p>\n
