Austin Community College will practice emergency response procedures and test its emergency notification system as part of Emergency Preparedness Week June 13-17.<\/p>\n
The college designates the third week of each semester as Emergency Preparedness Week<\/a> to inform students, faculty, and staff what they should do if an emergency or disaster strikes on campus.<\/p>\n ACC will conduct building evacuation drills at select campuses throughout the week and test its Emergency Alert System<\/a> on Wednesday, June 15<\/strong>. This communications system sends emergency information to students, faculty, and staff through emergency message boards, email, and voice\/text messages. Signing up for alerts is not necessary; faculty, staff, and students can simply verify their information in Online Services<\/a> to make sure they receive notifications at their preferred number(s).
