ACC Biology Professor Dr. Rodney E. Rohde will discuss healthcare associated infections and their worldwide impact.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe globalization of infectious diseases continues to dominate the headlines on an almost daily basis,\u201d says Dr. Rohde. \u201cIf action is not taken to curb the spread of antibiotic resistance, the current situation could spiral out of control, rendering current drugs completely ineffective.
