Damp and chilly weather didn’t prevent Austin Community College students, employees, and friends from coming out to raise money for student scholarships at the third annual ACC Fairway 5K Cross Country Run & Walk March 5 at Riverside golf course.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Welding Technology Department faculty Haley Woodward and Troy DeFrates handcrafted winners’ trophies. Adjunct Jewelry Professor Philippe Dewailly hand engraved trophy text on steel that was cut and polished by welding technology assistants Frank Barak and Marjie LaRowe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Winners in the men’s and women’s categories were:<\/p>\n

1st place – Andrew Sinnott
\n2nd place – Alan Ruiz
\n3rd place – Sebastian Villalva<\/p>\n

1st place – Farrah Keeler
\n2nd place – Heather Baack
\n3rd place – Kimberly Murphy<\/p>\n

ACC President\/CEO Dr. Richard Rhodes won first place in his age category.<\/p>\n
