Austin Community College (ACC) invites ACC alumni, students, and other job seekers to a job fair and career exploration event\u00a0Friday, April 7, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.\u00a0at the Highland Campus ACCelerator (6101 Airport Blvd.).<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a unique opportunity to meet employers and establish important connections,\u201d says Dr. Virginia Fraire, ACC vice president of student services. \u201cACC provides affordable, flexible pathways to help individuals achieve their educational and career goals. Employers know when they hire an ACC graduate they\u2019re hiring someone who is highly skilled and prepared for work on day one.\u201d<\/p>\n

The American Cancer Society, Austin Police Department, Magnolia Personnel Group, PAGE, and Spectrum, along with more than 100 additional employers will be on site representing more than 2,000 job and internship opportunities, A complete list of participating employers is available online at\u00a0austincc.edu\/jobfair<\/a>. \u00a0Participants are encouraged to bring copies of their r\u00e9sum\u00e9 or portfolio and dress ready to interview.<\/p>\n

Representatives from ACC\u2019s ten Areas of Study also will be available to answer questions and provide guidance on making informed educational choices for attendees who want to learn more about opportunities available at ACC.<\/p>\n

Leading up to the event, ACC is hosting a series of Job Fair Success Workshops ranging from r\u00e9sum\u00e9 preparation, networking, dressing for success, and creating an elevator speech. Workshops begin Monday, March 27, and run through Tuesday, April 4. A full schedule of events is available on the job fair website<\/a>.<\/p>\n
