Employees and spouses are invited to attend all or part of the day\u2019s presentations.<\/p>\n<p>View the <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0B1Q30XIpPV5pXzRHNTlLRXNQU0E\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Financial Wellness Fair flyer<\/a>\u00a0for presentation topics and times.\u00a0Professional development credit is not offered; however,\u00a0breakfast and lunch is provided to those who register in advance through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/eapps.austincc.edu\/workshops\/www\/login.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Professional Development Workshop Database<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Employees may be given time off to attend with their supervisor&#8217;s approval.\u00a0Those unable to attend may view the online <a href=\"http:\/\/irt.austincc.edu\/Webcast\/ACCFinancial-Wellness-Fair.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Financial Wellness Fair livestream<\/a>\u00a0of the full day of presentations.<\/p>\n<p>Contact Alisol Martinez, 512-223-7800, with questions.<\/p>\n<h2>Compensation study kicks off<\/h2>\n<p>HR Compensation has begun the fiscal year 2017 Non-Faculty Market Study.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure market competitive salaries for non-faculty employees as required by Board Policy F-10, a comparison of similar positions at the other Texas metropolitan community colleges and the local market is conducted every two years. In 2015 the college conducted the Classification and Compensation Study with Evergreen Solutions.<\/p>\n<p>A Market Study Review committee composed of four members each from the Classified Employees Association (CEA), the Association of Professional-Technical Employees (APTE), and college administration will meet with HR Compensation to provide feedback during the market study process. Committee members are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Laura Bauman (CEA)<\/li>\n<li>Robert Bohannan (CEA)<\/li>\n<li>Matthew Campbell (CEA)<\/li>\n<li>Juanita Parker (CEA)<\/li>\n<li>Caroline Hernandez (APTE)<\/li>\n<li>Latisha Marion (APTE)<\/li>\n<li>Jose Resendez (APTE)<\/li>\n<li>Connie Wall (APTE)<\/li>\n<li>Virginia Fraire (administrator)<\/li>\n<li>Stan Gunn (administrator)<\/li>\n<li>Mike Midgley (administrator)<\/li>\n<li>Neil Vickers (administrator)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Results of the study and any proposed changes will be reviewed by the President\u2019s Cabinet May 23 and presented to ACC\u2019s Board of Trustees at their June 19 work session. Approved market changes will be included in the fiscal year 2018 budget scheduled for adoption on July 10. Changes approved in the budget will be implemented in September.<\/p>\n<p>Updates about the Non-Faculty Market Study will be posted on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/hr\/compensation.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HR <\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/offices\/compensation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Compensation <\/a>webpage.<\/p>\n<h2>Annual benefits enrollment begins July 9<\/h2>\n<p>This year\u2019s annual benefits enrollment period is July 9 \u2013 July 22. Changes made during annual enrollment are effective September 1 for plan year 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The Human Resources Benefits Office will host the annual enrollment fair and presentation by the Employees Retirement System of Texas (ERS) on July 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Highland Business Center Room 201. \u00a0Employees can talk with ERS vendors and ask questions about the various benefit plans.
