Austin Community College celebrates the 47th\u00a0annual Earth Day April 22 with a week of sustainability events beginning Monday, April 17.<\/p>\n

Check the\u00a0ACC Earth Week 2017<\/a>\u00a0webpage for the latest schedule of events.<\/strong><\/p>\n Don’t forget to tweet your photos with the hashtags #sustainableACC<\/span> and #EarthWeekACC<\/span>.<\/p>\n PIN Plants <\/strong>— Beautify Pinnacle Campus and learn about native plants and invasive weeds. Participants will clean and replant the flower boxes on campus. For more information, contact holly.gordon@austincc.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n Walking with Wonder Photo Contest <\/strong>— Walk, talk, and take photos of Mother Earth at the Eastview Campus, Monday through Thursday at 3:30 pm each day. Participants will\u00a0walk along the outdoor and indoor trails photographing nature along the way. Meet in front of the campus manager’s office\u00a0(room 3104) each day.\u00a0If you can’t participate, you can still submit photos to apalmer@austincc.edu.<\/a><\/p>\n Mother Earth Wellness Walks<\/strong> — multiple campuses<\/p>\n Earthy Break <\/strong>— The Highland Business Center Wellness team is hosting a social media campaign to encourage colleagues to take wellness breaks throughout the workday. An Earthy Break could be an activity such as stepping outside for fresh air or taking a brief walk. Take photos of your activities and share on ACC’s Facebook<\/a> page with the tag #earthybreakHBC.<\/p>\n Plant a Plant<\/strong>, 11 a.m., ACC Service Center — Make wildflower seed balls with the Service Center Wellness Team.\u00a0 Seed balls are a great way to plant seeds and make great gifts. Once dry, participants can take their seed balls home.
