{"id":43106,"date":"2017-04-11T16:52:09","date_gmt":"2017-04-11T16:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=43106"},"modified":"2017-04-20T23:27:43","modified_gmt":"2017-04-20T23:27:43","slug":"acc-hosts-campus-carry-forums","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/newsroom\/2017\/04\/11\/acc-hosts-campus-carry-forums\/","title":{"rendered":"ACC hosts campus carry forums"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Austin Community College District (ACC) will host a series of forums in April to discuss the implementation of Senate Bill 11 (the campus carry law) and get input from college students, faculty, and staff.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to ensure this important conversation is open to the entire ACC community,\u201d says Chris Cervini, chair of the ACC Campus Carry Implementation Task Force.<\/p>\n<p>Hosted by the ACC Campus Carry Implementation Task Force, the forums will include a brief presentation and then open to ACC community for comment. A presentation of the college\u2019s draft recommendations will be shared at the final forum, scheduled for April 28 at the Highland Campus.
