The spring semester is almost over, but it\u2019s not too early to mark your calendar for General Assembly\/Fall Convocation on Friday, September 29, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 208 Barton Springs Rd.<\/p>\n
The theme, \u201cThe Role of Faculty & Staff in Guided Pathways,\u201d sets the stage for a new framework for faculty involvement in college planning in support of the ACC Strategic Plan<\/a>. Organizers are working hand-in-hand with faculty associations to plan the content of the event. New and exciting elements include:<\/p>\n New date<\/strong>: Moving the event to late September will allow more faculty and staff to participate, reserving pre-semester schedules for course preparation and student advising.<\/p>\n Morning sessions<\/strong>: Like previous years, the morning will kick off at\u00a08 a.m.\u00a0with breakfast and an opportunity to visit resource information tables. It will feature a keynote speaker whose presentation will be aimed at the\u00a0role of faculty and staff in guided pathways.<\/p>\n New afternoon format<\/strong>: After the morning convocation, afternoon sessions remain at the Hyatt to allow for a seamless transition to information and resources. This is a time for employees to dive into the work of guided pathways and collaborate on college initiatives. Lunch will be provided to those taking part in these sessions.<\/p>\n Free shuttles will be available to and from Highland Campus.<\/p>\n Details on the final schedule and RSVP information will be shared soon.
