The Web Redesign Project<\/a> is transforming this important public-facing communications asset into a new virtual front door to the college. Once completed, the website will be more intuitive for all users to navigate, easier for content managers to maintain, and 100 percent mobile-friendly.<\/p>\n Phase 1 of the new website launches this summer. In preparation, the Public Information and College Marketing Office has created a \u201cno click\u201d beta test of the new homepage.<\/p>\n Click here to preview the new homepage in \u201cbeta.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n After you\u2019ve taken a look, you can follow the progress of the redesign and offer feedback by visiting the Web Redesign Project website<\/a> and clicking on the \u201cUpdates\u201d blog. Updates also are posted\u00a0on Facebook<\/a>\u00a0and Twitter<\/a>.<\/p>\n (Remember, \u201cno click,\u201d means the site is not fully functional; new pages will be added in the coming weeks.)<\/p>\n Why is this rework needed? The redesign project is a priority in the college\u2019s 2017-2021 Strategic Plan<\/a>. Primary objectives focus on improving the site\u2019s look and functionality, elevating program promotion, streamlining content for the appropriate audience, and creating a responsive layout on all platforms\u2014desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones.<\/p>\n The project is occurring in phases. The first phase focuses on improving the student experience, from homepage \u201cshopping\u201d for prospective students, to a current student landing page with important information, links, and resources. Pages focusing on faculty and staff, business and community, and department websites will quickly follow.
