It\u2019s time to use those golf clubs for a good cause. Austin Community College (ACC) hosts its 12th annual Golf Scramble Friday, October 13, at Riverside Golf Course (1020 Grove Blvd.). Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. for an 8:30 a.m. start.<\/p>\n
Co-sponsored by SpawGlass, the Golf Scramble benefits the\u00a0ACC Student Emergency Fund<\/a>. To date, more than $160,000\u00a0has been distributed from the fund to help more than 260 students facing crises that might prevent them from continuing their education. Last year\u2019s event raised $35,000, the highest amount to date.<\/p>\n Tournament participants are encouraged to register in advance. The cost is $75 per player or $300 per foursome. Registration covers greens fees, cart, breakfast, lunch, and prizes. Sponsorship opportunities also are available.
