The Austin Community College District (ACC) will celebrate its summer and fall graduates at 6 p.m. Thursday, December 14, at the Frank Erwin Center (1701 Red River St.).<\/p>\n
The commencement ceremony honors students who have completed ACC\u2019s associate degree, certificate, and high school equivalency programs. More than 2,300 students are eligible to participate.<\/p>\n
\u201cWatching students realize the culmination of their hard work is one of my favorite parts about leading this extraordinary institution,\u201d says Dr. Richard Rhodes, ACC president and CEO. \u201cThis a pure moment of celebration.\u201d<\/p>\n
The\u00a0commencement\u00a0ceremony includes a tribute to graduating veterans, who receive a medallion in appreciation of their military service.<\/p>\n
Roy Spence, co-founder of GSD&M, will deliver the keynote address. Spence and his partners built GSD&M into a marketing, advertising, and idea machine.\u00a0 His passion is entrepreneurship, which he refers to as \u201cthe miracle of America.\u201d Spence is also co-founder and CEO of The Purpose Institute and founder of the Promiseland Project.<\/p>\n
