{"id":45464,"date":"2018-04-11T13:35:09","date_gmt":"2018-04-11T13:35:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=45464"},"modified":"2018-04-11T13:35:09","modified_gmt":"2018-04-11T13:35:09","slug":"streamlined-application-for-student-emergency-fund","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/newsroom\/2018\/04\/11\/streamlined-application-for-student-emergency-fund\/","title":{"rendered":"Streamlined application for Student Emergency Fund"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ACC launches an improved and seamless way for students to access financial assistance for unforeseen circumstances &#8212; the <\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/students\/student-emergency-fund\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Student Emergency Fund.<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Support Center, Financial Aid team, and ACC Foundation have taken your feedback and worked closely together to create a SINGLE, streamlined <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0B5HXgwuT7shiVWlNX2hKZ2ZHVW0wU2cwREo3VnRzcm1KbGs0\/view\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">application for assistance<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">.<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This simple request form is a fillable PDF and can easily be completed by students online \u2014 no office visit required.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Student Emergency Fund is a proven persistence tool and can assist with unanticipated costs such as:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Emergency medical\/dental costs<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Housing and living expenses<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Car repairs or transportation issues<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Childcare<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Family emergencies<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Loss of income<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b>Natural disasters (time sensitive &#8212; see below!)<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With the abundance of student, staff, and faculty guidance, the emergency assistance program is seeing many improvements.
