The Biotechnology Laboratory Technician Associate of Applied Science Degree Program at Austin Community College recently received recognition from the Texas Skill Standards Board (TSSB) for being integrated with the industry-defined Biotechnology and Biomedical Skill Standards for research, development, and manufacturing.
\nThe skill standards define the knowledge, skills, and abilities that are required for entry-level positions in the industry. Content was defined by front-line workers, first-line supervisors, and professionals from a range of state, national, and international firms representing all aspects of the industry including research, development, manufacturing, and regulatory functions.
