Keep the confetti popping for Austin Community College District (ACC) graduates! More than 140 Adult Education students were celebrated for the National Adult Education Honor Society induction ceremony, which serves as a completion ceremony, on May 2 at ACC Eastview Campus.<\/p>\n

The annual event honors students who earned their GED\u00ae this year, as well as students from ACC\u2019s High School Equivalency, English as a Second Language, College Prep, and Career Pathways programs. All the students celebrated were nominated by their instructors for their exemplary attendance, cooperative attitude, and work ethic in their classes.<\/p>\n

Adult Education graduates River Holland Bryan and Maribel Ortiz Lopez spoke with students during the ceremony.<\/p>\n

Special guests at the ceremony included ACC Chancellor Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart, ACC Board Members Dr. Manny Gonzalez and Steve Jackobs, and founder and executive director of our community partner Todos Juntos, Christina Collazo.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
