{"id":48901,"date":"2021-01-14T15:45:00","date_gmt":"2021-01-14T20:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=48901"},"modified":"2024-10-18T15:47:15","modified_gmt":"2024-10-18T20:47:15","slug":"acc-creates-cross-college-communications-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/newsroom\/2021\/01\/14\/acc-creates-cross-college-communications-team\/","title":{"rendered":"ACC creates Cross-College Communications Team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Austin Community College District (ACC) has established a Cross-College Communications Team (CCCT) to guide collegewide communications improvements and align communications strategies.<\/p>\n<p>The team will work to keep the ACC community engaged and well-informed by sharing relevant, timely information across the most effective communications channels.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Improved internal communications \u2014 collegewide, top-down, bottom-up, and across units \u2014 is essential to creating a culture of care and achieving ACC&#8217;s Strategic Plan goals,&#8221; says Brette Lea, vice president of Communications and Marketing.<\/p>\n<p>In its initial meeting in November 2020, the team decided on its goals and identified some of the most important current topics and communications channels.<\/p>\n<p>The first task selected by the team is to redesign the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/faculty-staff\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Faculty and Staff landing page<\/a> on the college&#8217;s website to serve as the primary information hub for employees now that the MyACC portal is live.<\/p>\n<p>The CCCT is composed of experts and stakeholders from across the college:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Brette Lea<\/strong>, vice president, Communications &amp; Marketing<\/li>\n<li><strong>Gerry Tucker<\/strong>, vice president, Human Resources<\/li>\n<li><strong>Jessica Vess<\/strong>, director, College Communications<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ana Rummer<\/strong>, director, Student Affairs Communications<\/li>\n<li><strong>Courtney Grams<\/strong>, director, TLED Communications &amp; Association of Professional-Technical Employees<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chris Cervini<\/strong>, associate vice president, Public Affairs<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nick Caspers<\/strong>, emergency management coordinator, Safety &amp; Emergency Mgt.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Shari Rodriquez<\/strong>, business processes and initiatives director, Finance &amp; Administration<\/li>\n<li><strong>Vicky Garza Gonzalez<\/strong>, internal communications coordinator, Communications &amp; Marketing<\/li>\n<li><strong>Melissa Griffith<\/strong>, Student Affairs administrative assistant, Classified Employee Association<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dr. Ping Chu<\/strong>, Psychology\/Sociology professor, Adjunct Faculty Association<\/li>\n<li><strong>Julz Decker,<\/strong> Government professor, Full-time Faculty Association<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Austin Community College District (ACC) has established a Cross-College Communications Team (CCCT) to guide collegewide communications improvements and align communications strategies.
