Austin Community College (ACC) employees interested in advancing to a supervisory role at the college are invited to apply for the Supervisor Certificate Program.<\/p>\n
In addition to gaining basic supervisory knowledge, employees who successfully complete the program earn one year supervisory experience toward ACC-posted supervisory positions.<\/p>\n
“This program helps remove a barrier for employees,” says Haydeana Gaviria, Staff Professional Development and Evaluations manager. “The program was started in 2014 and since then we have had a high success rate with over 40 percent of the graduates moving their career path toward supervisory positions at ACC.”<\/p>\n
The program is open to non-faculty ACC employees with less than one year of supervisory experience.<\/p>\n
Applications are now open. The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Friday, August 2.<\/p>\n
