Austin Community College District (ACC) Chancellor Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart joined President Joe Biden and First Lady Dr. Jill Biden as well as other national leaders, educators, and industry innovators at the White House\u2019s Classroom to Career Summit on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.<\/p>\n

The premier event focused on bridging education with workforce development. Held at the White House in Washington, D.C., the summit spotlights effective programs that connect students\u2019 classroom learning to real-world career paths.<\/p>\n

“It’s been an incredible honor to represent my colleagues and Austin Community College at the White House Summit. This event highlights ACC\u2019s programs on a national scale, showcasing the real impact of our work in connecting students to career pathways,\u201d says Dr. Lowery-Hart. \u201cThe discussions around CHIPs and infrastructure emphasize the critical need for skilled graduates, and it\u2019s inspiring to see our commitments recognized and our students\u2019 futures prioritized. The summit included Cabinet members, senior Administration officials, and workforce experts, along with K-12 and community college leaders nationwide.
