ACC Peace &amp; Conflict Studies Center Director Shirin Catterson Khosropour will join other panelists in a conversation about peacebuilding 9 a.m., Tuesday, November 19, in Washington, D.C.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI am really delighted that community colleges have a seat at such an impressive table, and I\u2019m honored to represent higher education as it continues to play a role in peace and conflict practices globally,\u201d says Dr. Khosropour. \u201cI hope to do justice to the good work that is being done nationally by community colleges. I believe because of the important role we play in giving access to higher education, workforce education, our veterans, and immigrant population, community colleges are the perfect place to infuse education about peace and non-violent approaches to conflict across a broad range of disciplines and career paths.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Panelists will explore best practices for peacebuilding, the impact higher education can have on conflict resolution, and different approaches to finding and maintaining peace.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event is hosted by the United States Institute of Peace and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nafsa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NAFSA: Association of International Educators<\/a>.
