Additionally, students who started at ACC have higher GPAs when they transition to Texas A&amp;M University after a year than the students who started at the university.<\/p>\n<p>Engineering is an in-demand and lucrative field. Engineering jobs are expected to grow 25 percent in the next decade and the average starting salary for mechanical engineers is more than $70,000.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are being accepted through June 30.
