{"id":50662,"date":"2020-08-13T18:04:00","date_gmt":"2020-08-13T23:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=50662"},"modified":"2024-11-21T18:06:24","modified_gmt":"2024-11-21T23:06:24","slug":"two-acc-health-sciences-courses-achieve-national-qm-certification","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.austincc.edu\/newsroom\/2020\/08\/13\/two-acc-health-sciences-courses-achieve-national-qm-certification\/","title":{"rendered":"Two ACC Health Sciences courses achieve national QM certification"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Two Austin Community College (ACC) Health Sciences courses have achieved national recognition for quality online and hybrid learning, bringing the college&#8217;s total to three courses with national <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qualitymatters.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Quality Matters (QM) certification<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">HPRS 2300 \u2014 Pharmacology for Health Professionals became the second course to obtain national QM certification in November 2019 and HPRS 1106 \u2014 Medical Terminology became the third in August 2020.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Health Sciences department is working to have all courses in the program certified. A fourth course, HPRS 1206, is currently undergoing national QM review.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ACC received its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/news\/2019\/01\/acc-course-nationally-certified\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">first national QM certification<\/a> in fall 2019 for Philosophy 1300.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two Austin Community College (ACC) Health Sciences courses have achieved national recognition for quality online and hybrid learning, bringing the college&#8217;s total to three courses with national Quality Matters (QM) certification.
