Austin Community College District (ACC) proudly partners with United Way for Greater Austin to launch a new pilot program that expands access to critical support services for students.<\/p>\n
Beginning fall 2025 at ACC\u2019s Highland and Round Rock campuses, the program will leverage United Way\u2019s ConnectATX resource navigation tool to connect students with food, healthcare, transportation, child care, benefits support, and more.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur students are parents, workers, and caretakers. They show incredible resilience, balancing school with the demands of everyday life. They shouldn\u2019t have to do it alone,\u201d said ACC Chancellor Dr. Russell Lowery-Hart. \u201cThis partnership strengthens our ability to connect students with resources and remove barriers. Together, we are building a community where every student feels seen, valued, and supported.\u201d<\/p>\n
This effort is just the latest in ACC\u2019s four-year partnership with United Way to provide parenting students with wraparound support. <\/p>\n
\u201cPartnerships like ours can open doors for hundreds of students to not only meet their goals, but to dream bigger,\u201d said United Way for Greater Austin CEO Ingrid Taylor. \u201cWe\u2019re committed to understanding each student\u2019s needs and building the kind of lasting support that helps them thrive in school and in life.\u201d<\/p>\n
Through this new pilot, ACC and United Way will expand the reach of these supports, helping hundreds of students persist in college, complete their education, and achieve long-term stability.<\/p>\n
