The dealership presented the program with an electric vehicle on Tuesday, September 16, at ACC\u2019s Riverside Campus.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis donation directly supports our students\u2019 success. Hands-on experience with electric vehicle technology ensures they graduate ready for the jobs of today and tomorrow,\u201d said Mike Shoebroek, Automotive Department Chair. \u201cWe\u2019re grateful to City Limits Nissan for helping us prepare a skilled workforce that can keep pace with the future of the automotive industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to the International Energy Agency, electric vehicle sales are expected to exceed 20 million in 2025, which is about a quarter of all cars sold for the year. As cars become more advanced and reliant on electronic systems, opportunities like this help prepare students for high-demand careers in the region\u2019s rapidly evolving auto workforce.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re proud to donate this electric vehicle to ACC\u2019s Automotive Technology program, knowing it will give students invaluable hands-on experience with the latest electric vehicle technology,\u201d said Jason Laguna, general manager of City Limits Nissan. \u201cWe\u2019re excited about our partnership and look forward to building a strong, lasting relationship with both faculty and students.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>ACC\u2019s Auto Tech Program is accredited by the Automotive Service Excellence Education Foundation (ASEEF). Students can earn certificates, an occupational skills award, an associate degree, or transfer credits.
