The primary vote isn\u2019t over just yet, as runoff elections for Democratic and Republican candidates are being held. Austin Community College District (ACC) is committed to civic engagement through ACC Votes by providing access to nonpartisan election information and resources to the community. <\/p>\n

Early voting runs from Monday, May 18, through Friday, May 22. Election Day is Tuesday, May 26. <\/p>\n

Historically, voter turnout is low in runoff elections. However, many important federal, state, and local-level races are on the ballot, including U.S. Senator, Attorney General, Lieutenant Governor, and several state positions. The candidate who wins the majority, or more than half, of votes in their race will face candidates from other parties in the November 2026 general election.<\/p>\n

Make Your Plan to Vote<\/strong><\/p>\n

ACC encourages students, faculty, and staff to make informed choices and have their voices heard. Employees may take up to two hours of administrative leave<\/a> to do so and must work with their supervisor ahead of time to schedule the time off needed.<\/p>\n
