Austin Community College District (ACC) is in the running for the 2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statesman.com\/bestofatx\/#\/gallery?group=543399\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Austin American-Statesman Best of ATX Awards<\/a> for best college\/university.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From earning a degree and learning new skills to transferring and workforce support, ACC is helping thousands of students build their future. If ACC has made a difference in your journey, we&#8217;d love your vote.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Follow these steps to vote for ACC:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statesman.com\/bestofatx\/#\/gallery?group=543399\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Awards website<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Scroll down and select the &#8220;<strong>Kids &amp; Education<\/strong>&#8221; category.<\/li>\n<li>Click \u201c<strong>College\/University<\/strong>\u201d in the drop-down menu.<\/li>\n<li>Find <strong>Austin Community College: Highland Campus<\/strong> at the top of the options list.<\/li>\n<li>Click the green &#8220;<strong>Vote<\/strong>&#8221; button in the ACC box.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your email address.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Submit<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Even better? Once you confirm your vote, you can return and vote each day again through Wednesday, June 24.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ACC received the top honors for the <a href=\"https:\/\/statesman.gannettcontests.com\/Austin-Best-of-the-Best-2022-Winners\/gallery?group=435116\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>2022 Best of the Best Awards<\/strong><\/a> as &#8220;<strong>The Best College\/University<\/strong>&#8221; \u2014 ahead of Texas A&amp;M University and the University of Texas-Austin. Our Nursing Program was awarded the top accolade in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/news\/2021\/01\/austin-american-statesman-presents-acc-2020-best-best-award\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018, 2019, and 2020<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The College is among the largest in the nation, with 11 campuses located across Central Texas. A new independent report from Trellis Strategies shows ACC generates $2.6 billion annually and supports more than 15,000 jobs. According to the report, 68% of graduates remain in the greater Austin area, and 85% stay in Texas, strengthening the local workforce.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Graduating seniors and GED\u00ae completers also get to take part in the Free Tuition Pilot Program. It covers tuition and general fees for eligible graduates from ACC\u2019s service area, starting with the Class of 2024. Eligible students receive up to three years of free tuition toward an associate degree or five years toward a bachelor\u2019s degree at ACC.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From classrooms to careers, we&#8217;re building Central Texas together.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Riverbats, it&#8217;s our time to shine.
