Austin Community College District (ACC) offers resources designed to support parenting students, from childcare assistance and food pantries to financial aid guidance, counseling services, and academic support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here are six tips to help parenting students succeed at ACC:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Tell your <a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/advising\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">assigned advisor<\/a> you&#8217;re a parenting student.<\/li>\n<li>Apply for <a href=\"http:\/\/austincc.edu\/financialaid\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FAFSA or TASFA<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Apply for the <a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/personal-resources\/child-care-for-college-students\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">childcare scholarship<\/a> and daycare waitlists.<\/li>\n<li>Explore <a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/scholarships\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">scholarships<\/a> and other financial resources like <a href=\"https:\/\/admissions.austincc.edu\/payment-plans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">payment plans<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/care-network-center\/advocacy-team\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Student Emergency Fund<\/a>, and, for veterans, explore your <a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/veterans-services\/benefit-hazelwood-forms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">federal and state benefits<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Make a schedule that works for you and your family. ACC offers multiple <a href=\"https:\/\/www.austincc.edu\/college-your-way\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">class schedules<\/a> and modalities to fit your life.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/tutoring\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sign up for tutoring<\/a>, use the <a href=\"https:\/\/students.austincc.edu\/accelerator\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">computer labs<\/a>, and go to your professors&#8217; office hours.
