Highlights include an update on the Theory of Change Transfer Design Team, a financial report, and an overview of the College\u2019s latest marketing campaign, Built for What\u2019s Next.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below are highlights from the meeting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Theory of Change Design Team Update: Transfer Design Team<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The College presented its final recommendations from the Transfer Theory of Change Design Team. The design team focused on optimizing student transfer outcomes to prevent non-transferable credits and shorten the pathway to a bachelor&#8217;s degree. The overarching plan centers on three key pillars: strengthening curricular alignment with major university partners, building intuitive technology solutions like interactive exploration tools, and fostering an early culture of transfer connection. This will now move into the implementation stage. <a href=\"https:\/\/infohub.austincc.edu\/theory-of-change\/belonging-and-connection\/transfer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Read more from the design team here<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Summer Financial Report<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Board of Trustees received an update on the fiscal year 2026 summer financial report, which shows the College\u2019s operating budget remains on track. The College projects a $23.9 million budget surplus in net revenues over expenses, supported by a more than 10.3% increase in credit hour enrollment and salary savings from vacant positions.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Built for What\u2019s Next Marketing Campaign<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ACC Vice Chancellor of College Relations &amp; Marketing Brette Lea provided an overview of ACC\u2019s new image campaign, \u201cBuilt for What\u2019s Next.\u201d The new campaign highlights how ACC prepares students, supports the community, and helps shape the future of higher education.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Calling General Election Items for November<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Trustees called to order a General Election for November 3 to elect trustees for Places 1, 2, and 3, each serving six-year terms. The candidate filing period opened July 18 and closes August 17. Early voting is scheduled for October 19 through October 30.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Renewal of CapMetro ACC Green Pass<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ACC Green Pass program will continue for eligible students and employees with fare-free access to CapMetro bus, rail, and paratransit services. The Board approved the annual renewal of the existing five-year partnership established in 2023 with no changes to its current terms. The program is funded through the $1-per-credit-hour student Sustainability Fee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>City of Austin for Emergency Medical Services Professions Program Clinical Sites<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Board of Trustees approved a three-year agreement extension with the City of Austin that provides ACC Emergency Medical Services Professions students with hands-on clinical training. The City of Austin Emergency Medical Services Department will continue providing clinical training sites, experienced preceptors, and student evaluations at no cost to either organization. ACC remains responsible for student selection, faculty oversight, liability insurance, and ensuring compliance with federal privacy regulations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Consent Items<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Board also approved a series of policies, including employee, community, and student rights, and the use of College facilities.
