Chancellor’s Student Achievement Award (CSAA)

The Office of Student Life recognizes our outstanding students at ACC through various awards and programs, including the Chancellor’s Student Achievement Award (CSAA). The CSAA is the most prestigious ACC award earned by a graduating student. Each fall and spring graduation, this award is presented to a student who has demonstrated academic excellence, service to ACC and the community, and commitment to ACC’s values and vision. Faculty, staff, and students are welcome to nominate students for the CSAA.

Fall 2025 CSAA nominations open on July 21 and close on October 10.

If you have a student, friend, or classmate who has made a lasting impact during their time at ACC, consider nominating them for the CSAA this semester. Graduating students can also submit a self-nomination!

Student Life staff will verify the following eligibility requirements:

  • Minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA
  • Attended ACC for a minimum of two (2) consecutive semesters
  • Graduating in the semester you are nominating/applying for this award (Summer 2025 graduates are eligible for the Fall 2025 nomination/application process)
  • Must be in good standing with the college – this will be verified by the Office of Student Life

Applications will be evaluated on the criteria below by a committee of faculty and staff. Finalists will be selected for interviews.

  • Documented involvement in the campus community, including but not limited to Student Life events/programs
  • College and community service
  • Quality of involvement (impact on campus)
  • Scope of involvement (variety)

When Kristan Hennessy first stepped onto Austin Community College District’s (ACC) Eastview Campus, she never imagined how deeply the school would shape her life.

“I never understood why people got really riled up about their alma maters; now I get it. I chose ACC because of its flexibility and reputation,” Kristan says. “When the pandemic hit, ACC quickly moved classes online, making it possible for me to continue my education while everything else seemed to stand still. That decision changed everything for me.”
