The Teaching & Learning Excellence Division (TLED) has partnered with Human Resources (HR) to create an experience for new faculty like no other. Our comprehensive orientation program delivers online and monthly sessions to brand new adjunct and fulltime faculty alike; covering important topics such as:

  • Community College Mission and Philosophy
  • Learning about ACC students & best practices to achieve student success
  • Engaging with services at the college
  • Connecting with teaching colleagues
  • Becoming a leader within the ACC community
  • And more!

This semester-long program is designed to launch you into a successful career here at Austin Community College and bring ease to your first semester of many here with us. Each portion focuses on a different area of importance for new faculty.

First Step: Required Online Training for all Employees through Human Resources

Login to the Workshop Database to complete training in Sexual Harassment Prevention, ADA Awareness, and Cyber Security as soon as possible.

Ongoing Support on Your Campus

In addition to these trainings, the Teaching & Learning Excellence Division (TLED) also has an extensive menu of support services available to help you with all your teaching or classroom management needs. From classroom media support to instructional design and beyond, we’re here to enhance your experience and partner with you to improve the learning environment for our students.

On every campus we offer direct assistance through ACC Libraries, Instructional Designers, and Media Technology Specialists.
