Memo Regarding Instructional Videos

Please be advised that the Teaching & Learning Excellence Division (TLED) is retiring the IRT Flash server and moving all videos hosted on this server to a new secure server on October 12th, 2018 to protect ACC information. Critical vulnerabilities have been identified in the IRT Flash server and it’s important that we make this move.

What this means for your courses: if you currently have any video links within your Blackboard shells or your course materials that are hosted on the IRT Flash server, then you will need to replace those links with the new server link. After October 12th, 2018, these links will no longer work.

What to do:

    1. Be proactive. Complete the following steps and update your courses PRIOR to the retirement date.
    2. Review instructional videos in your course. If any of the links include “http://irtflash.austincc.edu/” at the beginning, then you will need a new link.
    3. Email a complete list of your old video links to [email protected].
    4. You will receive a prompt response from our Instructional Web team with new links.
    5. Update the links in your course.

Thank you for taking the time to keep Austin Community College’s information safe and secure.
