Testing Center Memo: Changes for Fall 2018 Semester

The content of this post is a copy of what Holly Delacroix-DeRouen, Director of Testing, sent out to all faculty on March 29, 2018

Dear Faculty,

This letter is to inform that all ACC campus Testing Centers will be phasing out customized red scantron forms for testing beginning Fall 2018.  Testing Centers will continue to use red scantron forms for the remainder of the Spring 2018 and Summer 2018 semesters.  Faculty who currently use red scantron forms, will not need to do anything with tests currently in our Testing Centers.

The decision to discontinue utilizing red scantron forms is due to technical issues and the inability to find an acceptable or permanent solution.  The only change that you will notice is that the green scantron forms will not be pre-populated with student information or graded.  Students will be provided lined paper for any short answer questions.

Our priority is serving students and making sure they are served accurately and efficiently.  This change will enable our Testing Centers to provide better customer service to our students while maintaining test integrity.

Additional information about the location of green scantron scanners on your campus as well as information about Blackboard testing options will be provided in the next couple of weeks.

As we begin this transition I look forward to your concerns or comments on how we can facilitate this transition.  Your input is important and we would like your feedback.  You can contact me at [email protected].

Sincerely,

Holly L Delacroix-DeRouen, Director of Testing
