There is tremendous scope and career potential within the field of welding technology. It is such a diverse field that there is an application for virtually every personality type.\u00a0 The Welding Technology Department offers a variety of award plans including several AAS (Associate of Applied Science) degrees, as well as varied Certificates and an Occupational Skills Award to fit the varying needs and goals of aspiring welding professionals.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

A distinct difference between the AAS degrees and the certificates is that the degrees require five\u00a0core curriculum courses<\/a>, like English, math, and history. To help place a student into the correct level of these courses, the student must complete\u00a0TSI testing<\/a>.\u00a0 The certificates do not include these courses, and so they do not require the testing.\u00a0 Contact your\u00a0advisor<\/a> to determine what test(s) you need.<\/p>\n
