Fall 2024 AAPI Book Club – Grit

Welcome to AAPI Book Club at the ACC Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Cultural Center. We are a book club dedicated to fostering self-discovery, self-growth, and nurturing a sense of community. Each book is carefully chosen to inspire introspection, encourage personal growth, and ignite meaningful conversations. AAPI Book Club is open to ACC students, staff, and faculty.

In the upcoming Fall 2024 semester, the AAPI Book Club will be reading Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance by Angela Duckworth. Duckworth is a psychologist and a New York Times bestselling author. This must-read book explores how the secret to outstanding achievement is not just talent but rather a focused persistence called “grit”.
