Fall 2024 – Grit by Angela Duckworth
In the upcoming Fall 2024 semester, the AAPI Book Club will be reading Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance by Angela Duckworth. Duckworth is a psychologist and a New York Times bestselling author. She co-founded Character Lab, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing scientific insights that help children thrive.
In Grit, Duckworth reveals the secret to oustanding achievement is not just talent but rather a focused persistence called “grit.” It explores why some people succeed while others fail and why talent is not always a guarantor of success. This must-read book offers an insightful perspective on the power of passion and perseverance in achieving success.
