Nature Trail Cleanup & Zero-Waste Lunch – April 26, 2024
The Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Cultural Center at ACC teamed up with ACC Sustainability by hosting a Nature Trail Cleanup & Zero-Waste Lunch to celebrate Earth Week and AAPI Heritage Month. Earth Week is a global celebration dedicated to raising awareness about environmental issues while promoting sustainable practices. We hiked and helped clean up the Walnut Creek trail near ACC Northridge. By removing litter and debris from nature trails, we not only cleaned the trails but also helped protect the local wildlife and ecosystems. Through our zero-waste lunch, we encouraged embracing zero-waste principles which involved minimizing packaging and utilizing reusable items.
