Kristina Elizondo, Ph.D.

Kristina Elizondo is a professor of art history, joining Austin Community College in the fall of 2019. Her bachelor’s and master’s degrees are in art history, with an emphasis on the art of ancient through revolutionary Mexico, and her Ph.D. is in art museum studies. Her dissertation focused on college student understanding of bias within the exhibition practices of art museums.
Before becoming a full-time community college educator, Kristina held professional positions at the Dallas Museum of Art, the McNay Art Museum, and the Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas. Prior to joining ACC, Kristina was an associate professor of art history and the Fine Arts Department Chair at Tarrant County College. Currently, Kristina is excited to be working towards becoming a Texas Master Naturalist.
