Mark Connelly Wilson was born in Houston, Texas and is an educator, actor, filmmaker, and award winning magician, musician, and music composer who has been creating and producing audio and video content for multimedia, radio, television, film and the internet since 1980.
Mark began teaching at Austin Community College in 1999. Subjects taught include audio/film/video production and video editing in the Department of Radio, Television, and Film – and advanced music composition and desktop music production in the Department of Music Business and Performance. Mark currently teaches primarily for the department of Radio, Television and Film at Austin Community College and helps with student recruitment as the faculty coordinator for the ADMC division.
In addition to his other accomplishments, Mark has been performing live as a musician and singer and acting in films, music videos and television and performing magical theater. He was the 2010 – 2012 president of the local Austin chapter of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, and since 2009 he has been performing as “Merlin The Wise” at Sherwood Forest Faire, where each year he continues to entertain the thousands of attendees to that festival and others with his own unique style of magic, music, and comedy.
